Anita studied at the Slade School of Fine Art where she graduated with a BA in Fine Arts and a Higher Diploma in Printmaking. She has had more than 40 one-woman shows in the UK, the USA and Australia. Her work is included in public collections such as the Arts Council of Great Britain, University College London, and the University of Wales.
She was elected an associate of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers in 1991 and a full member in 1995. She served as the as the President of the Society from 2003-06. Most of her work is directly autobiographical, often incorporating recurring themes such as angels, wine, etc.
